Whatever your Cockapoo problems, discover, risk-free, how to turn your Cockapoo into a healthy, happy and obedient dog!”

Excellent Results...
“I knew nothing about the care and training of a Cockapoo puppy. And more importantly, about their character and disposition. Cockapoo Savvy along with the free gifts provide valuable information that I am following and am having excellent results with. I had no idea of the challenges that I would face with a puppy so young. Your guides trained me on what to expect, what to do and how to do it. I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful web site and information provided. Cockapoo Savvy contained far better information than the books I purchased at book stores and at a much better price.”

Dear Cockapoo Lover,

How would you like a perfectly well-behaved and happy Cockapoo? A Cockapoo that really listens to what you want, respects you and is a joy to own?

And wouldn’t you feel great if you could achieve this in a way that is risk-free, stress-free and fun for both you and your dog?

If so, I know you’ll find this letter to be extremely valuable because what I’m about to tell you will blast away many common misconceptions about this special breed and reveal the astonishing truth: namely, that there is a right way and a wrong way to getting the best from, and for, your Cockapoo.

Perfect family pet or stubborn, destructive nuisance?

Hi, my name’s Cynthia Hughes. I’m not a professional dog trainer or anything fancy but I am mad about Cockapoo and share my life with Lucy, a beautiful Cockapoo bitch.

If you’re anything like me, I’m guessing that what attracted you to Cockapoo in the first place was a combination of two things: first that Cockapoo are the most adorable looking dogs in the whole World, and second the commonly shared view that – with their compact size and happy-go-lucky temperament – Cockapoo make the perfect family pet.

For me, this amazing combination made the question as to whether to buy my own Cockapoo a no-brainer. But, as I soon found out, all is not quite as it seems…

Okay, there’s no doubting that Cockapoo are the most adorable dogs: with those big brown eyes, waggy tail and shaggy faces!…Who can resist? But what few people will tell you is that these dogs have distinct behaviour patterns hard-wired into their brains that make them very different from any other dog.

Or, to put it another way,

If you fail to understand what makes your Cockapoo tick, you’ll be tearing your hair out with frustration.

I know, because I found out the hard way.

Allow me to go back to the beginning…

I first brought Lucy home when she was only 7 weeks old. I’d always had dogs in the family as a child (although never a Cockapoo) and I applied exactly the same training methods to Lucy that I remembered my parents using with our family dogs.

An all-too-common problem

Imagine my shock and frustration when, far from becoming the delightful, happy and well-behaved pet I’d always longed for, Lucy became stubborn, destructive, aggressive and, increasingly, just plain naughty.

In the first 6 months alone, she:

  • Urinated (and worse) all over my floors on pretty much a daily basis, even though I sternly told her off. I used newspaper and even special training pads, but nothing seemed to work.

  • Scratched the laminate floor in our hallway so badly that I ended up having to get the whole lot replaced.

  • Chewed her way through a laundry basket, my favourite sheepskin slippers, 2 door mats and 3 dog beds.

  • Annoyed my neighbours (and us) with constant whining and yapping.

  • Transformed my back yard into something that looked like the surface of the moon.

  • Escaped next door and, in the space of one afternoon, transformed my neighbor’s back yard into something that looked like the surface of the moon.

  • Snapped at my husband and 2 children whenever they tried to take anything away from her.

  • Frequently ran away when I let her off the leash and would not come back.

  • Chased after my neighbor’s cat, on one occasion causing it to run into the road where it was narrowly missed by a car.

  • Constantly begged for food whenever she was near anyone eating.

  • Started nipping and jumping up at my children when they tried to play with her.

Sound familiar? If you’re already a Cockapoo owner, I’m prepared to bet my bottom dollar that by now you’re beginning to mutter “Tell me about it!” because what I know now, is that all of these behaviours are very common in Cockapoo.

If you’re not yet a Cockapoo owner, you might find Lucy’s list of escapades quite amusing but, I can tell you, I was at my wit’s end. Lucy was making my life a misery and I felt I couldn’t trust her with anything. And when she started biting my children, I knew something had to be done.

I started by looking in almost all the corner bookstores around. I found many books authored by so-called ‘dog experts’, bought them happily and started reading. But when I applied the tips given, many of them just didn’t seem to work.

Most of the books I read didn’t work…because they were dog books, NOT Cockapoo books

I quickly came to the conclusion that either Lucy was a doggy freak or these so-called dog experts couldn’t possibly have ever had a Cockapoo of their own. And desperate though I was, I wasn’t ready to give up on Lucy yet so I chose to start the long process of trying to find out more about Cockapoo, and here’s what I did:

  • Over the course of a few months I tracked down and communicated with 408 Cockapoo lovers around the World, using internet forums and chat rooms to get their input and learn from their experiences.

  • I spent many evenings in front of my computer searching for and reading every article I could find about Cockapoo.

  • I spent time with 4 professional dog trainers who had specific experience of training Cockapoo and were able to give me the low-down on Cockapoo behaviour problems and how to cure them and also simple but effective methods to specifically train Cockapoo to sit, stay, lay down, come and more, and...

  • I spoke to my vet and local veterinarian training hospital who gave me great advice on keeping a Cockapoo healthy and how to prevent and cure common (and less common Cockapoo illnesses and diseases.

It was hard work, but boy was it worth it – and what an eye-opener!

I quickly found out from many other Cockapoo owners that I wasn’t alone with my frustrations, which was a huge relief to me – and them.

Survival Manual ...
“Cockapoo savy is worth its weight in gold to me and is my survival manual. It has been a great help. Its easy to find what your looking for and a joy to read, packed with lots of help and tips to make looking after a puppy/dog a lot easyer. Thanks.”
Sarah Sarson, Hull, UK

And what I discovered from the dog trainers was a real surprise. You see, it turns out Cockapoo aren’t always the easy option so many of us are led to believe. What I hadn’t realised is that Cockapoo have distinct behaviour patterns and that if these aren’t acknowledged, taken into account and dealt with in the right way, a Cockapoo can quickly become a stubborn, destructive and hostile pet. I had been doing it all wrong – and I can’t tell you how guilty I felt.

The good news is that through my research, I also discovered that there is a simple, effective and kind way of communicating with and training your Cockapoo that taps into the way their minds work and has them desperate to please you. The results are phenomenal and I was amazed: after only 10 days of consistently applying the knowledge I had learned, Lucy was already becoming a different dog. She was so much happier and calmer and really listened to what I asked of her. Two months later and she was the happy, well-behaved and fun dog I had always dreamed of. I was so happy.

I knew then that I had to share the information I had learned with as many Cockapoo lovers as possible so that these beautiful dogs and their owners wouldn’t have to go through the same stresses that Lucy and I did. And so I wrote:

The way I see it, I want as many people as possible to learn the kind and fun way to living happily with their Cockapoo. Cockapoo are such special dogs and it breaks my heart to hear stories from people who have become so frustrated and desperate that they’ve had their Cockapoo re-homed.
